Grounds For Divorce in Washington
Washington is a purely no-fault state. According to the Revised Code of Washington, the only valid ground for divorce is an Irretrievable breakdown of the marriage.
There is no need to blame anyone or prove anything. If the other spouse joints the petition or at least does not refuse to get divorced, a divorce is usually granted. If there are some disagreements, the court considers all the relevant circumstances and estimates the possibility of reconciliation.
