To be eligible to get a divorce in the state of Kentucky the spouses must meet the established filing requirements.

Either party must be a resident of the state for at least 180 days before filing the Petition for Dissolution of Marriage.

Active military members stationed in Kentucky for the relevant period of time also have the right to file for divorce within the state.
